HEMAQ at IMTS 2026: Technology Transforming Manufacturing

From September 14 to 19, 2026, Chicago will become the meeting point for global manufacturing with IMTS 2026, one of the most important events in the metalworking industry.

At this year’s event, HEMAQ will showcase solutions from four leading brands in its technology portfolio: OKUMA, MODIG, JINGDIAO, and UNISIG. OKUMA: Productivity That Goes Beyond the Machine

As the official OKUMA distributor in Mexico, HEMAQ will join the brand at IMTS 2026, where OKUMA will present an ecosystem that integrates CNC machines, automation, controls, and services designed to support equipment throughout its entire lifecycle.

At booth #338500 in McCormick Place, OKUMA will showcase 11 machines, including four new launches for the Americas, most of them paired with automation solutions.

Featured CNC machines include the GENOS M460V-5AX, a five-axis vertical machining center equipped with an OKUMA Robot Loader, and the MULTUS U1000 multitasking machine, designed to integrate complex operations into a single platform.

One of the most exciting new experiences at the 2026 edition will be OKUMA’s Virtual Reality experience, allowing visitors to explore CNC machines in 3D and interact with models that will not be physically displayed at the booth, such as the MCR-A5CII double-column machining center.

Automation will also play a major role, with equipment such as the MB-5000HII, paired with a Tower Pallet Changer, and the MS-320H four-axis horizontal machining center, equipped with a Robot Loader. These solutions will demonstrate how manufacturers can extend production hours while reducing operator intervention.

OKUMA’s concept is clear: Automation for All—a commitment to making automation accessible not only to large-scale production plants, but also adaptable to different levels of operation and specific production needs.

Another particularly interesting combination will be the GENOS M460V-5AX Vertical Machining Center with the OKUMA Robot Loader, demonstrating an automated five-axis machining solution focused on increasing productivity and making automation easier to adopt.

This offering is complemented by OKUMA’s next-generation CNC control, the OSP-P500, further strengthening the integration between machine, automation, and control.

At booth #338336, MODIG will present solutions focused on speed, productivity, and high-performance machining.

Among them is the Mill-Ex2, a high-speed milling machine with a dual-spindle configuration, where each spindle operates independently across three axes to process aluminum components with greater efficiency and a reduced footprint.

This technology is particularly relevant for industries such as aerospace and automotive, where reducing cycle times and cost per part is essential to maintaining competitiveness.

MODIG

JINGDIAO: Precision Measured in Microns

JINGDIAO will present the GRA400, a five-axis machining center developed for applications requiring high precision and complex geometries.

The machine integrates milling, grinding, drilling, boring, and tapping operations, with machining accuracy ranging from 2 to 10 μm and a spindle speed of up to 20,000 rpm.

The experience will be complemented by SurfMill, JINGDIAO’s CAD/CAM platform, along with a display of more than 100 machined parts, demonstrating how machine, software, and measurement can work together as a single system.

UNISIG: Precision Where Depth Matters

During IMTS 2026, UNISIG will showcase technologies for deep-hole drilling and multi-spindle applications, as well as horizontal and vertical machining centers and CNC milling and turning solutions.

A particularly relevant offering for processes where part depth and complexity require specialized technology.
