The Japanese company founded by Eiichi Okuma in 1898 was created with the initial purpose of manufacturing and selling noodle making machines, within a few years they created the first NC controller with absolute position encoder system, becoming Japan's only comprehensive machine and control manufacturer; it was in 1972 when the first computer numerical control (CNC) was created.
More than a century, OKUMA, has grown into a manufacturing company of nearly 4,000 employees offering comprehensive services for CNC machine tools, controls and automation systems.
