Modig, the Swedish CNC Machine Tool manufacturer has now introduced its latest innovation: the 4-axis Mill-EX Machining Center. This new specialized machine offers aluminum extrusion machining capabilities with available configurations of 1, 2 or 4 individually driven spindles. In addition, it features 1.5G acceleration and high feed rates through its rotary worktable.
The new Mill-EX is ideal for manufacturing parts for the aerospace and automotive industries, it stands out for having the lowest cost per machined part and material loading capacity during the machining process, as this equipment is designed for pre-cut material loading, which translates into higher performance and profitability for your shop.
MODIG's new Four Axis Machining Center offers machining capabilities for aluminum extrusion with 1, 2 or 4-screw configuration.
Configuration options range from the number of spindles, spindle power, cooling procedure, measuring tools, and loading and unloading configurations. Its rotary table with electrical interface to the fixture has a maximum interference diameter of 20 inches (520 mm) and a maximum length of 100 inches (2,500 mm), and the fixture has 8 media channels for hydraulic or pneumatic configuration, resulting in a maximum load of 1,102 pounds (500 kg), including the fixture.
Finally, Modig's Mill-EX has the lowest carbon footprint in the market, is compatible with full automation configurations, and has a much shorter and more stable ROI than other specialized equipment.
